Second Proof Arrives

An update on the 142 RAC book; today the second proof has arrived.

It looks to be a busy weekend ahead going through it all to check that all the corrections and additions to the first draft have been included.

On first glance, it looks great. The maps and the photographs really bring it to life as a complete work and it’s exciting to see it now moving forward after a few months of inactivity.

I’ve already spotted a couple of frustrating typo’s but nothing major and one map needs a quick amendment, but the plan is still to have it published in October, so the race is on to get it returned to the publishers ASAP and sign off the press copy.

I’ve a busy weekend ahead on other matters so when I get home from work tonight, I start straight away to check it over. Today, I will definitely be burning the candle at both ends!
