Second Proof Returned

Late last night the second proof of my new book with all the corrections and amendments, was sent back to the publishers. Now it’s just the waiting game.

I’m trying to squeeze in another two small photographs of Suffolk officers who did much to ensure that the Regiment’s part in the Emergency was not forgotten, but if they cannot be included, there will still be still be 305 photographs of the men of 1st Suffolk Regiment in Malaya with an accompanying historical text; the first time since 1998 that a volume has been written on them and their campaign there.

This book will also be the largest number of photographs of any single battalion serving there ever to be published (overtaking the excellent ‘Jungle Bashers’ by Robert Bonner on the 1st Manchester Regiment’s service there, 1951-53, by over a hundred photos!).

I’m really excited and eagerly awaiting the final proof to sign off before it goes to print. As they say, watch this space!
