The ongoing challenge to get a picture of as many men of 1/Suffolk as possible has been boosted today by the correspondence with the descendants of two more men of the Battalion.
One a pre-war 2nd Battalion Signaller, recalled to the Colours in 1939 and who served at Dunkirk, and another, a Reinforcement who joined them in Normandy, and both amazingly has a photograph! so now I’m up to almost 260 individual soldier photos and I am yet to start properly with the officers.
