Ken Wright (Aged 102!)

No description required here - except that it’s fantastic to see Ken Wright, our last known Suffolk Regiment D-Day veteran, looking so sprightly and fit as he laid the wreath at his local war memorial in Rochdale on the anniversary of VE-Day.

Ken served in 15 Platoon, ‘C’ Company and served at the Chateau de la Londe where he managed to save his badly wounded comrade, Jock Chambers, by carrying him back from the battle, to the Regimental Aid Post, a brave and gallant man.
